For  over 30 years, Crest Jewel has offered to its thousands of customers the purest, most refined, and highest quality gifts of nature from around the world from our home in the beautiful town of Fairfield, located in southeastern Iowa, USA.

The store began as an idea on the beaches of southern Spain where the  first owners sold exotic silks and beads to  tourists and students studying overseas. That initial success inspired the opening of a store  here on Fairfield’s town square in 1973. And now after 30 years and 6 different  locations in this town we have just reopened at 48 N. Main St. with a perfect eastern view of the town square.

True to its original commitment and the vision of its founders, Crest Jewel continues to offer to its many loyal customers refined high quality gifts of nature from around the world. That original vision has now expanded to include selected work from not only the  many highly talented jewelers, artists, and craftsmen living and working in Fairfield but also many others we have met on our travels and adventures around the globe.

 The Inspiration for our name comes from the Viveka-Chudamani (Crest-Jewel of Discrimination), a timeless vedic text authored by Shankara. Since 1973 Crest Jewel has become known the world over as the reliable solution to the question asked and answered by Shankara:
